For more than 120 years, National Parent Teacher Association (National PTA®) has worked toward bettering the lives of every child in education, health and safety. Founded in 1897 as the National Congress of Mothers by Alice McLellan Birney and Phoebe Apperson Hearst, National PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. Today’s PTA is a network of millions of families, students, teachers, administrators, and business and community leaders devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of family engagement in schools.

Our Mission

The main aim of the PTA is to enhance and improve the children's learning experience.

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students within the school. It is also a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what is happening in their school. In order for the school to function effectively for the student's welfare, it is important for both teachers and parents come together. ... This association actually plays a prominent role in the school.

OUR AES PTA to date has helped to accomplish the addition of computer and robotics programs, enrichment programs in both science and liberal arts, AND assisted in getting teachers the tools and support they need in their classrooms.
